Hot Project

The Eagle Flying Museum is trying to enter the digital age!

Of course that is hard when your stock in trade is well over 60 years-old! We're in the process of scanning and digitizing Maintenance Manuals, Pilot Handbooks, Parts Catalogs and Drawings. Eventually they will be available in our store- or right now if you participate in one of our flying programs!

We collect original manuals, diaries, notes and documentation of all types. If you have anything you'd like to donate, please give us a shout! We need to preserve valuable primary sources, don't throw it out!

  • Thunderbird Field Stearman
  • We just started a PT-13D project. The mighty Stearman. This one spent time at at Thunderbird Field in Phoenix, AZ and we are going to restore it just like that! Follow our progress on the Stearman Blog (rolling online in July 2012) and pictures can be found on our Flickr page. Please check our progress and let us know what you think!
  • Veteran Story Project

Most veterans feel their service was not significant to the war effort. We beleive that nothing could be further from the truth. We collect artifacts and stories from veterans of all eras... and put their stories out for visitors to see. Each veteran will be showcased on a rotating basis-- real stories from real people. Everyone plays a part!
